GOVT. MIDDLE SCHOOL 

The government middle school in Patan village was designed as an extension to the existing school to accommodate higher classes. The project emphasized creating a seamless flow of spaces, allowing children to move freely and avoid the feeling of being confined to closed rooms. The design incorporated locally available materials such as CSEB (Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks), mud plaster, filler slabs, local stones, and broken tile mosaics, ensuring sustainability and a connection to the region's vernacular architecture.

 

The classrooms were thoughtfully designed to emphasize playfulness and foster hands-on activities, moving away from the traditional lecture-based setup. The school was well-received and inaugurated by the Honourable District Magistrate of Chhatarpur, Sandeep GR. Adding a personal touch, the interior walls were adorned with paintings and artwork created by the students themselves, showcasing their learnings and covering various educational topics through creative expression.
